Anne Walsh is an opera singer turned traditional Irish folk singer. A Minnesota-grown, Irish American artist, Anne bridges centuries and continents through traditional Irish singing, known as Sean-nós (old-style) singing. With degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education and over 15 years performing and teaching internationally, her roots run deep in the rich choral tradition of Minnesota, performing with The Singers - MCA, the Manhattan Chorale, the Lyric Opera Studio in Germany, Chorosynthesis, and many more ensembles. Anne has taught high school and middle school choir and theatre in Minneapolis, South Korea, and the Cayman Islands before moving to California in 2017 and opening her own vocal coaching studio. 

Anne records and performs traditional Irish Sean Nós songs under the name Áine, having studied this style with renowned Irish singer and teacher, Mary McLaughlin. Anne is working on a solo EP - her music weaves voice, story, and world instruments to honor the old ways while breathing new life into them. 

Along with singing, Anne’s background is full of improv comedy groups and acting. Anne has worked her way through the Groundlings Comedy School in LA and loved every minute of it. “Yes, and” is one of her core life tenets. 

Anne brings her full spectrum of experience to her Anam Cara “Soul Friend” Voice facilitation. Whether it’s 1:1 sessions, retreats, or community singing circles, she treats this time with holy reverence. Clients have described their experiences with Anne as “therapy,” "psychedelic," and “hilariously fun.” People have noted the deep, somatic healing that takes place when they allow themselves to rediscover the power and vulnerability of their full voice. Her approach is warm, intuitive, and human - because the voice isn't something to fix. It's something to come home to.
